    Interesting. I had exactly the same experience, except I’m a woman. Cystic fibrosis frequently delays the onset of puberty, which made junior high and high school super fun.

  2. Great reminder that even people that even good-looking and fit people deal with insecurity. Remember to show your body and yourself love **right now**, because changing the outside won’t necessarily change how you feel about yourself!

  3. I can’t imagine working in show biz with BDD.

    When I was young, I couldn’t just simply watch movies with nudity in them for years — I was obsessively checking IMDB parental guide to prepare myself mentally for even a few seconds of skin on screen. The stupid thing robbed me of so many small nice experiences, I am still pissed. If I were surrounded by gorgeous people at work at the time, I’d certainly lose my mind.
