FINNEAS responds to a USA Today piece calling celebrity opinions on politics “idiotic”: “You can’t say it doesn’t matter what musicians or celebrities say or think but then talk about it for days. You’re out here making it matter. I’ll keep speaking up especially if it keeps bothering you.”

  1. Finneas is very insightful about what’s going on with this country. I wish a lot more could be just like him and speak up, especially against backlash for voicing their opinions

  2. Alas love an opinion piece that tells other people their opinions are stupid and should be kept to themselves.

  3. Funny how celebrity opinions don’t matter always somehow need a full news cycle to complain about them.

The author has a degree from Hillsdale College according to her bio.

Hillsdale College is closely related to The Heritage Foundation.

  5. You would think Donald Trump being elected not just once but TWICE would get across that it actually does matter what celebrities say and do.

I mean, shit, the same was true of Reagan! Arnold Schwarzenegger was governor of one of the largest economies in the world! It OBVIOUSLY matters

Art is political. It always has been.

Look at the works of Shakespeare. Some of the plays that were written about the kings are propaganda.

  7. LOL and also let’s not forget how much hate celebrities get for not using their platform to advocate – all this article is is propaganda

  8. Art at its core will always be political. So for a party that keeps electing celebrities to lead it’s pretty stupid to say they can’t have a voice but we all know what the silencers are really trying to say.

  9. Trump was a ‘celebrity’, known for his marriages, divorces and The Apprentice.

    The hypocrisy of these people…

  10. Has this moron heard of protest songs? Fortunate Son? Born in the USA? Imagine?

Leonardo DiCaprio is famous for his acting. Is he allowed to speak about the themes in One Battle After Another?

Picasso painted Guernica. Normal Rockwell painted Ruby Bridges.

Maybe if the legacy media would actually do their job as part of the fourth estate we wouldn’t have to worry about the opinions of popular artists. Then again, USA Today is basically kept in business by hotel chains.

Lmao this country literally elected a celebrity as the president that had always been outspoken on his idiotic views on politics – the double standards are insane.

What’s someone’s job got to do with politics?

Do I not get to have an opinion because of my job?

Or DO I get to have an opinion because it can be ignored?
