She looks so beautiful as always ♥️ and never stops drawing attention to important issues. I just love her.

What she says about not falling into despair is so important. I used to think it was shallow to expect people to be “happy” or at least not resigned in situations like this, but when you read about the fights for justice, joy had always played a big part (which explained why some people like to shout and sing during protests). It boosts the spirits, allows people to keep fighting and eventually winning.

I cried when she said this initially. Life is already hard when you are an empath with severe depression. Things like this don’t make it better. I have felt such anger and despair, knowing I am surrounded by such hateful people. My depression has certainly gotten the best of me right now in particular, since being diagnosed 20 years ago. Her message was an important reminder. And those out there with mental illnesses already trying to survive, then having to deal with seeing the things happening in our country, i see you. You are not alone.
