She’s right I’m white and I think it’s ridiculous too the lack of awareness is embarassing

  2. She’s completely correct. Pointing out that America has been doing really evil shit forever doesn’t make the evil it does today less important; if anything it makes it MORE relevant, because this is part of a longstanding thing that must stop or more will be done in the future

This country was formed through genocide and slavery. Ignoring this truth and purposely failing to teach this is why we constantly repeat history.

it’s infuriating seeing “woke” get co opted by non black people and then being called that like it’s a slur only for them to decide to wake up NOW 🙃

  5. This is what I think about when people are angry when the police in Minneapolis aren’t doing shit. They’re the same department that murdered George Floyd.

  6. I genuinely don’t understand how black Americans are not in constant revolt. The way they have been othered for their entire history is unforgivable.

  7. Yeah. Obviously what’s happened in Minneapolis is terrible, but it’s nothing new. Ask Trayvon and Eric; the system will kill you and it’ll be your fault.

  8. The comparison to Nazi Germany is unnecessary. We can make comparisons to our own history. This is the “again” they’re referring to in maga.

  9. I mean, we have not ever seen federal over reach or weaponization of the doj like this before. People should be alarmed

Not on this first day of Black History Month. I have no patience for the nonsense, especially this month.

I’m glad people are standing up, but goddamn. This kind of political violence has been happening for decades. Ppl talk all this shit when we say Black Lives Matter or mock being woke but look at what needed to happen before ppl started moving. It’s clear who ppl think (even subconsciously) are worthy of life and dignity. I just hope ppl now truly get that no one is free and no one ain’t ever gonna be free until we’re all free.

I love her sm she’s always posting resources and speaking up on her stories. Really hoping that she wins many grammies tonight!

  13. Quite literally. Black Americans have been speaking up about this forever. Did they think BLM was just for funsies?
