  1. This scene prompted endless discussions for decades about whether or not garlic can liquefy in oil if it’s thin enough. It can’t.

  5. I haven’t read the book in a while, but if I remember, they actually crushed the garlic, not sliced it.

    I used to slice mine very thin exactly because of this movie.
