I literally gasped when I heard the news. I hope Macaulay is doing okay. This has not been a good start to the year.

this is so sad, macaulay’s parents were the worst but catherine made him feel loved like a true mother. fuck

You can sense the immense sadness in his statement. It’s awful to suddenly lose someone you’ve known practically your whole life.

Man, in addition to being an abolute legend of the big and small screen, and a comedy goddess, Catherine O’Hara was ‘mom’ for so many people across generations despite being quite young when she played those roles. My mom, and so many others, had that exact same haircut and haircolor in the 90’s so she’s a literal personification of motherhood to me

What a lovely sentiment from Macaulay, all that needs to be said really

  5. Caption is a gut punch. As someone who has lost quite a few people, I always felt I had time until I didn’t. Heartbroken not just for for him, but for Catherine’s family and friends.

  6. Usually I hate it when celebrities post pictures of themselves with a celebrity that just passed, but this one gets a pass.

This is literally the worst day. Especially because she died before *him*. (not talking about Macaulay)

Whelp I made it through all the other posts till I read the caption and now I’m sobbing.

  9. Watching her and John Candy sit together in the back of that truck every year at Xmas in Home Alone now is going to hit a lot different
