  1. And then when they’re filmed and everyone says they’re shit, he’ll spend the rest of his life pretending to work on them.

The fact that we will probably find out what happened at Summerhall from a tvshow…

  3. For those who don’t want to read the whole article, GRRM provided 12 Story outlines and synopsis, not fully written short stories

  4. > Even though we don’t have the ins and outs of every story, we know canonically the major beats of Dunk and Egg throughout their lives. So we wouldn’t necessarily run into the same trouble as the flagship did. And George has outlined 12 more of these stories that he’s shared with me. These stories take them all the way through their lives. Some of these are just a paragraph, but they give you a sense of where they’re going to go and the people who come back in and out of the story.

This isn’t unusual with GRRM. He did the same with Game of Thrones.

I hope the unpublished stories get published, even if it may be after they’re portrayed on the show.

  6. I wish I could act like GRRM at work and get paid to submit brief summaries of all my deliverables and pinky promise to eventually finish them but never do.

  7. Ehh Dunk and Egg are simpler stories

Should be easier to adapt than a in universe history book or trying to finish the main series without books

Dunk and Egg is basically a self contained adventure for the characters. Should be easily adapted from an outline.

  8. Lol okay so he okayed this show knowing he won’t finish the stories in time, so we can see more unpublished, unpolished outlines flop onto the screen.

I’m too old to care about content we might see in like, 2030, especially from this franchise.

  10. Should stop making these and concentrate on a fantasy that will actually get finished like Sandersons stormlight archive.

I read Mark of the fool recently as well and that would probably hit the right kind of vibe but granted it doesn’t have the same fanbase (yet anyway).

I’d be happy if he would finish and publish them. I’ve accepted winds of winter isn’t coming and song of spring extra isn’t happening. I’d just like some crumbs Mr Martin

  12. Man, just stop. Please. Your infamous outlines are worthless because you’ve proven yourself incapable of actually executing them. We only have to look at GoT for the most obvious example.

Please just drop the act. Announce that you will never finish the books and don’t particularly care to, and live out your true dream of being a big-shot Hollywood producer/showrunner, we all know that’s what you really want. This half-in, half-out approach is freaking exhausting.

  13. Watch in a season or two the showrunner ignore all those notes and GRRM stating his relationship with another showrunner for another of his adaption has soured.

  14. It turns out every AI engine is trying to finish off GRRMs outlines. It can’t cope, please stop this cruelty to a conscious being.

  15. 3rd time’s the charm I guess. This time the showrunner will prove worthy of that trust. Right?

  16. Who wants to bet that he won’t officially release/publish even one of those new stories by the time season 3 of AKOTSK comes out?
