This was the beginning of the end of Anthony Michael Hall’s 80s teen movie run. He decided he didn’t want to be typecast as a “nerd” and started making poor choices. Dude turned down Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Pretty in Pink to do SNL, this movie, and Johnny Be Good. He was struggling with drugs at the time, too.
