Feel like that’s just glare on glass(?) covering that large map. There’s another up in the NW Territories

I don’t think that’s part of the map

Apropos of both but that would be Montana and Alberta/Saskatchewan Manitoba is further east

Its really weird this is posted because I just got done watching this movie and my attention was brought to that and I never noticed it before. My take was that it was damage to the picture down to the paint behind it.

Looks more like a tear in the wallpaper or poster on wall

Regardless of what it actually is, I don’t see any resemblance to Willy Wonka. This whole post is odd.

Looks near the position of Glacial lake Missoula which was almost this size & existed during the last ice-age. Thus perhaps in the world of Wonka climate change was not a thing & the interglacial period had ended.

Look at how all the other water bodies are represented on the map, especially freshwater lakes. This is not a lake represented on the map. Like others have mentioned, glare, tear, paint, literally anything besides some secret lake added to the movie for some easter egg or weird detail.
