    1. MrVernonDursley on

The government gave Lex the authority to kill Superman on account of the video. By all accounts the video is real, Lois probably just used the Lex exposé to discredit the real video to get people off Superman’s back.

    2. One of my less fav moments from that movie bc lowkey didn’t really have much impact on the overall plot beyond the 10 mins where the public hated Superman,

I also don’t buy it bc even though it is real, it’s so easy to fake things today and especially in a world with tech more advanced than today’s, like who in that world would actually just take the ‘tech guys’ word for it. The only thing suggesting that’s what the parents actually said was the subtitles the news provided in their coverage of it like, we were shown no proof or anything. poorly handled element of an otherwise good film

    3. Is that what you found most ridiculous about the movie? I thought the fact that Superman had time to move EVERY living creature,, even a squirrel, out of harms way, even chatting with some in the midst of the surrounding chaos was ridiculous. Or maybe it was how he & Lois argued. Would someone dating a superpowered alien, arguably the most powerful person in the world, have the vitriol & resentment that Lois did for Superman and his effort to save lives by stopping a war? I would think anyone in that situation would be more appreciative of any humanitarian efforts, certainly not critical. And when Lex used the Hammer to defeat Superman, calling out moves which then had to be input by one of way too many people in a command center during what is essentially hand-to-hand combat WOULD NEVER WORK. In real time you would ALWAYS be a step behind, reacting to what was happening because of the delay. The whole movie was a big pile of hot, steaming DOO-DOO!
