Samyra, a popular influencer and singer on TikTok and Instagram who is known for her open discussions of fatphobia and experiences as a fat black woman, made a response to Cardi B's viral video talking about how the larger sizes of her shirts sold out quickly. Cardi B then responded to her twice, which has led to a wave of harassment towards Samyra. An unfortunate but unsurprising development considering that Samyra did try to be very fair towards Cardi in her video.

  1. Cardi B is a WEIRDO. Instead of attacking women, she needs to worry about putting out music and stop running behind ain’t shit men. 😒

I was disappointed seeing all the comments playing off Cardi B’s remarks as good-humored authenticity.

Nah, it was textbook fatphobia. Letting it slide just because you like the celebrity gives oxygen to fatphobia everywhere else.

  3. Ironic coming from Cardi considering how much work she’s had done to her face and body. Can only imagine what she’d look like these days without it (her reality tv days give a rough idea)

I opened the first post about this earlier when it just had a handful of comments and couldn’t figure out why everyone was laughing and reacting so positively to the fatphobic shit (that any other celebrity would’ve been burnt at the stake here for saying.)

Glad to see people are calling her out on her shit, but I’m not surprised she’s reacting like a child.

    Eta: words are hard

Cardi B has peaked. 7 years since her first album!? More famous for her off-stage antics than her music. This is her ceiling. A shame.
