Speed Racer (2008) speeds car has 5 pedals

In the 2008 movie there's a scene where Speed presses down his gas pedal in his car but a quick shot shows there's 4 or 5 pedals when he steps down. Obviously manual cars have the clutch,gas and break but apparently in this universe there's more.
