    1. I don’t love 4DX, and haven’t tried ScreenX.

More money for theaters is a good thing.

    2. Audiences: Ticket prices are absurd, you can’t possibly increase them any more.

Theaters: But what about if we really fucked up the movie though?

    3. ScreenX is the most pointless gimmick I’ve had the displeasure of wandering into.

ScreenX was incredibly mediocre to me for the one film I watched (No Time to Die)

      >This is the first global partnership between the two companies, and includes 40 4DX auditoriums and 25 ScreenX locations in the U.S. and Europe. The first ScreenX auditoriums in the agreement are expected to open this summer and the first 4DX installations are planned to debut in the fall. The rollout is expected to be completed by 2027.

      >ScreenX is a multi-projector system that creates a 270-degree panoramic viewing experience across three cinema screens. The new ScreenX auditoriums will feature Barco laser projectors, immersive sound and recliner seating. 4DX 4D presentations include synchronized motion-based seats, wind, lightning, scents, and other effects.

4D is a fun gimmick if I’m at a science museum or something like that. I can’t see it being a selling point for a normal movie.

Would rather them announce they upgrade all their Xenon IMAX locations to Laser IMAX, would be a massive upgrade over this

    7. I don’t think they understand why people aren’t going to theaters like they once did.

“…you think it’s the lack of moving seats and wind blowing at them?”

      “Eureka!”

    8. What is this fascination with the letter X? Honestly, associating your theaters with that lunatic Musk makes me want to visit your theaters even less.

Unless a movie is specifically made for one of these formats I can’t imagine it will look very good. Kind of like watching a regular movie on an IMAX Dome where everything at the periphery is all distorted.
