I think in a documentary on the pulp fiction blu ray the prop manager (whatever the title is) was searching everywhere for this prop of a kangaroo and she told tarantino she couldn’t find anything like it. Tarantino then casually told her he had it at his home and would bring it next time. I guess he brought it twice!

i found this exact thing in a rental car once, it’s broken but i kept it, i’m really not sure why i kept it but i did. how weird to see it here

Weirdly, a lot of homes I visited with my parents as a child in the 70s had these somewhere, and our and my grandparents’ homes had it too. People used them for their watches and jewelry. As soon as I read ceramic kangaroo, I knew what it was.
