The sandworm and the Dragon Warrior went head to head on Monday.
-67% from Sunday, better than The Batman. Just -34% from last Monday.
Thinking a $28-30M 3rd wknd is in the cards. $205M by Sunday. At this point it feels like $250M is locked. Question remains how much higher can it go, and a middling April slate should be good news for Dune’s 6th-9th weekend legs.
66% drop from sunday, the legs are amazing, as was written!
Dune Part Two has gone from #8 biggest March OW, to #7 biggest March 2nd wknd, to #5 biggest March 2nd Monday of alltime.
The golden path to $300m widened up a tad bit, but we’ll see how Tuesday jump looks like. Oscar rerelease option is still available to boost the chance.
Some of that is finally my money, and it was a great experience. Domestically it’s performing in line with my expectations. Internationally it’s not done as well as I expected and without strong legs, may not meet or exceed my hoped for $750M. I’m curious why that is.
