DWP2 is likely to make more than $350mil more than the first, I looked it up today and assumed the OG made more. I can’t think of any legacy sequel that did that aside from Force Awakens
Michael has been getting great holds, while the heatwave in Europe put a damper on things, I still do not see how this doesn’t comfortably pass $1 Billion.
I am going again this week for 4th time, I missed the great feeling getting out of the cinema already 🥹❤️
His musical biopic is guaranteed to be the highest grossing of all time and he managed to do it with a movie that leaves out over half his #1 hits. Insane. No one else could ever do that.
Old MCU numbers
This was easily the best music biopic i’ve ever seen.
Well deserved the insane box office.
Even with the drop from the European heatwave effect, it’s still outpacing Oppenheimer and Bohemian Rhapsody’s 5th weekend. That’s insane.
