Hi r/movies, I'm John Davies, writer of HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN, KIDS VS. ALIENS, SLUMBER PARTY ALIEN ABDUCTION (V/H/S/2) and my new horror novella, MAN VS. BEAR – the story of a mother grizzly bear furiously hunting down the drunk driver that hit her bear cub.
I'd love to chat, so ask me anything!
Back tomorrow Monday 4/13 at 3 PM ET to answer your questions!

What was the first movie you wrote?
Hi John, thanks for joining us!
1. What’s the movie that has scared you the most?
2. If you had to bring only 3 movies on a desert island with you for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Out of ALL the VHS shorts I only really love 5-6 of them, yours being one of them. I’ll check out the novella!
What was your first impression of the Hobo with a Shotgun faux trailer in Grindhouse?
Hey, John! Slumber Party Alien Abduction is one of my favorite segments of all time. It’s absolutely foreboding and terrifying, like a more ruthless take on Signs. I was curious, why did you take it in what seems like a bit lighter, more comical angle with Kids vs. Aliens?
Do you have fond memories of Penhorn Mall in the 90s?
