Meet: Charlotte Corday (1768-1793)! During the French Revolution, she assassinated Jacobin leader Jean-Paul by stabbing him in the heart whilst he was in the bath. She is quoted as saying “I have killed one man to save 100,000” during her trial. She was executed via guillotine aged 24.

    You forgot to write the name of Jean-Paul Marat.
    Also, the whole “heroic assassin” angle ignores how much Marat’s reputation has been trashed over time, he was a major voice for the poor during the French Revolution. History’s been a bit harsher on him than he probably deserves
