Pros & Cons:
1.The anthology episode is one of the series' finest hours, changing up the structure but still telling a vital story.
2.Frenchie and Kimiko's romance is the beating heart of the final season.
3.Soldier Boy and Homelander have a compelling dynamic.
4.Season 5 never plays things too safe, but never becomes overconfident in its storytelling either.

Nothing against those characters, but I sure hope they aren’t the focus of the final season

Could have been last season too without Frenchie having a random love interest detour. Hate it when shows lose narrative cohesion like that and snap back on course for the final season. Just stick to the narrative arc!

I think the show has been pretty dire lately, but I’m glad it’s just 5 seasons so it hasn’t been bad for so long that it couldn’t be turned around for the finale. I’m excited.

Anyway I’m really excited for this. It’s one of the most consistent shows I’ve seen in recent years. Hope they stick the (Home)landing.
