Trent and Atticus killed on this soundtrack. Second to the Social Network. The music during NPH’s final scene is chef’s kiss.

I was on a spring break service trip and we had a cancelled day due to rain so our school chaplain suggested we go see a movie – and this was the one that worked best with our schedule. I was the only person who had read the book. I knew what we were getting into.
It remains one of my most-cherished movie memories.

I enjoyed the movie and it was well done but the book was excellent. That moment when you discover the truth was truly a “holy sh*t” moment when I was reading.

Jon Hammond was supposed to play the Ben Affleck character but Mad Men prevented him from doing so. In the end, Mad Men is 1000x more important than Gone Girl. But I would have liked to have seen him in this role and in many others (e.g., bring him in as Dennis Hopper’s son in Speed 3 or whatever; give him a chance to mug and be crazy like he obviously wants to do but folks rarely seem to let him).
