  1. However will we recover the loss of as many as 3 full green screens and an LED wall?

  2. For anyone who didnt open the article, It was only the bungalow set that belongs to Chris Pratt’s character, the dinosaurs and outside shots are still probably going to be full CGI.

  3. With the state of the world right now I think this is the event that will push everything to the point of no return. God help us.

  4. Always wondered about certain practical sets being left behind after shooting. It’s a sad and eerie feeling knowing all that effort building the location and scene can just be suddenly abandoned and left to rot.

I don’t know about the state of the bungalow before it was destroyed (maybe it was a tourist attraction), but regardless it’s a shame since these are kind of like time capsules that aren’t in a museum which gives it extra flair.

  5. The dinosaurs have obviously escaped the set and are now terrorizing downtown Los Angeles. News at 11.

Fun fact Spielberg a hurricane on Kauai destroyed Spielberg’s set on Kauai island for JP1. People on the island say he ended up using it for footage. Can’t confirm.

Edit: thanks Wikipedia. “Spielberg included footage of Iniki battering the Kaua’i coastal walls as part of the completed film, where a tropical storm is a pivotal part of the plot. Members of the film’s crew helped to clear some of the debris off of nearby roads”

I lived on that little island for a bit of life and have been to that location many times. Hurricane Iniki.

Wasn’t there something to do with a storm on the set of the original as well? I can’t remember well but I swear I recall reading something about a storm on Jurassic park years ago
