Viggo wouldn’t do it anyway if asked. He turned down The Hobbit. Since Aragorn isn’t in the book. Unlike Orlando Bloom. Who reprised his role as Legolas. But without John Rhys-Davies’ Gimli to bounce off, he’s totally exposed as the plank of wood actor he normally is.Â
But yeah this is based on Young Aragorn. So a recast makes sense. And de-aging Aragorn would be a total shit-show. Not that anyone should ever entertain the idea.Â
