Selena Gomez, who anchored the original “Wizards of Waverly Place,” will return as a guest star, reprising her role as Alex Russo in multiple episodes. Gomez is also set to make her directorial debut, helming the premiere episode of the new four-episode season.

Four episodes count as a season now? Just make it a TV movie at that point.
So its basically a 4 part finale and not really another season? Why not just make it a dcom? I was honestly hoping for a better reboot. One directed towards adults with the original creator back and all the og main characters back as adults.
I completely forgot they brought back wizards of waverly place, this is the first im hearing about it since the revival was announced lol
I’m glad we’re getting an ending anyways but disappointed to only get four more episodes. They never gave the show the time to grow like the original
