I’ve heard rumors this traces back to Doge and the cabinet secretary’s needing to approve every contract over $100k. DHS handles security and counter terrorism for this kind of stuff, and while the secretaries were creating content with ICE, around 7,000 contracts stacked up on her desk, including those for security for the world cup. Now we’re a few months out and since the contracts weren’t signed, no money has been moved and no prep has been done.
