  1. Just saw it last night, great movie. Was a really nice change of pace to see such a hopeful movie.

Not surprised at all Ryan Gosling in space solving impossible problems? That’s basically a formula for both tears and jaw-drops. Honestly, I didn’t expect Amazon MGM to hit $300M this fast, but the movie just has that perfect mix of heart, humor, and ‘wow, did that just happen?’ moments. Definitely deserves the crown over Creed II

So glad this is actually making money tbh. we desperately need studios to realize that smart, standalone sci-fi can still be incredibly profitable at the box office.

I’d love it if the success of this boosts Lord and Miller into becoming go-to directors for more blockbuster sci-fi adventure films

Creed iii getting knocked out at the box office by a depressed science teacher and his rock-spider best friend was definitely not on my bingo card ngl. amazon finally actually using the mgm acquisition for a massive W.

I’m happy for the success because now there’s going to be a gold rush on other hard sci-fi novels.

Would love to see a Culture movie, maybe a Bobiverse or Expeditionary Force series.
