When’s someone going to give him the money for another project? I’d hate for Waters to go out like Lynch, spending the last years of his life failing to get another movie off the ground because the studios wouldn’t touch him.

(Hot take: there may even be a bit of a danger in becoming a public character like Waters or Lynch, because maybe potential financiers subconsciously take you less seriously as a filmmaker.)

The sign is iconic, of course, but seeing older people like him and Jane Fonda still protesting has me feeling some time of way.

They’ve done their time fighting. They should be able to be done and resting by now, but the horrors persist and these octogenarians are still out there fighting for us all. It is both amazing and devastating.

  3. That is a great sign, best one I saw all day and I was at the march in Seattle. Also happy to know he is alive, I had believed otherwise.
