  1. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, Austin Butler started out as an extra in Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide then eventually got a CW show and now he’s an Oscar nominee.

and that was a hard production, 22 episodes every season, looong filming days, filming at night all the time, the scripts changed all the time. after that you can film everything

I remember Dustin Diamond hated people that called him Screech in public instead of embracing the hugely popular character that gave him stardom and recognition.

Charles Melton referring to Riverdale as “his Juilliard” is one of my favorite things a famous person has ever said.

Two things can be true. It got you your start *and* it wasn’t necessarily good.

    This is the way.

That show was batshit crazy and I gave up on it once the cult or whatever was introduced. It was also just a really bad show. So, I can understand anyone involved being like, “Sigh, yeah I gave my life to this for x years.” BUT, you can still appreciate that this was your “in” to bigger and better things.

It’s so weird how people want the Riverdale cast to hate the show they worked on and almost the entire cast is like “I had a great time”

  8. honestly exactly. i would think that too, i hope. i’m in the mood to hype her up anyway today cause i saw the earlier post about her choice of shirt for the pressrelease lol, and she also openly talked about having body-confidence issues on riverdale because she wasn’t quite as slim as the rest of the girls in the main-main cast, and overcoming those

  9. I said it once and I’ll say it again I love Lili!!!!!!!!! She’s so smart, so funny, non problematic queen.

Honestly, I feel like being able to act out all the batshit crazy things that happened on Riverdale and doing silly stuff like that must’ve been fun

Lili acted circles around the rest of the carts especially in the later seasons.

  12. All I know about this show I learned from Super Eyepatch Wolf’s two [absolutely](https://youtu.be/DZ-FRSXypUE?si=rPF_BWQS-Rq2dRCA) [incredible](https://youtu.be/LsrMrAAZ5KQ?si=9Nzlxe-ITSvZqGiW) videos (those are two different links!) on the subject and even those are INSANELY wild rides lol, but I love this kind of attitude. Nothing wrong with acknowledging where you’ve been and how you got your start. I think it’s very humble. It’s easy, I think, to feel a little bit embarrassed by being in something that is objectively ridiculous or even bad. It’s harder to own that, to recognize the life it’s given you and to grow from there. Robert Pattinson is a great example of an actor who’s owned a somewhat cringe launching pad and parlayed it into an incredible career. I hope the same is true for Lili!

  13. I love Riverdale. Don’t give a fuck what anyone says. I love it BECAUSE it’s unhinged and nonsensical. Good for her for sticking up for the show that gave her a beautiful life and jumpstarted her career.

I didn’t watch the show but she looks so much like what I envision Betty to be.

My friend worked on a movie with her (like, in the same trailer for weeks), and Lili was a rude, entitled, and awful person to everyone who wasn’t her peer or boss.

  16. most insane fuckin show this side of true blood and i was strapped THE FUCK in for the whole damn ride. If you’re gonna go off the rails, do it early, and riverdale did that and stuck by it. Severe Legends of Tomorrow energy, we love Riverdale in this house.

My husband and I just started watching Riverdale for the first time, and after every ep we are just like “wow what a show” lol it’s truly batshit but in a campy, so bad it’s good kind of way (we are still on the first season). Idk it’s pretty fun and so far has been like “what if twin peaks was a CW show using Archie comics IP” and seems to give the actors a lot to work with in terms of variety and being over the top. I don’t know why actors would shit on working on shows like these when it’s a steady paycheque, builds work ethic necessary for hustling in the industry/makes working on other shorter term projects seem wayyy easier, and (repeating myself here) but gives the actors a big range of arcs to go through, that tend to subvert expectations/go against character archetypes. Just because something is creative/in an artistic industry doesn’t mean it has to be super serious. They are called plays for a reason – because that’s what you’re doing. Playing.

  18. I don’t even watch movies or tv that much but I distinctly remember being puzzled at Megan Fox for saying she met Brian Austin Green while she was doing “really bad tv” (I think it was Hope and Faith with Kelly Ripa). This bothered me enough that I remember it decades later.

  19. Just watched her in Forbidden Fruits last night. She’s going to go far I think!! Great actor

riverdale was perfection. they nailed the campy comic book chaos of plots changing wildly bc they’re on their 748th issue. i loved it.

also looooooved Forbidden Fruits. god. as a girly who loves sisterhood and camp – it was beautiful. i’m def going to buy the physical media when it comes out.

  21. BackgroundDuck7051 on

I never watched River Dale but wow I like her more and more everytime I hear from her

💯💯💯 Isn’t this what got Constance Wu a whole lot of backlash a few years ago? She went off the rails when Fresh Off The Boat got renewed 😒

  23. Everytime I see actors saying things like this, I remember Rainn Wilson from the office being annoyed lit for years cause ppl only know him from the office lol
