That was filmed on my estate. It’s a rough estate, one that has always had major issues. However, the poverty in the area is ridiculous, but overlooked because it’s a particularly expensive part of London nowadays, so the word “Islington” has become a byword for liberal, out of touch middle class people, when the reality is very different. The woman who worked with Ann widdecombe on that documentary became very unpopular, her family had worked for decades to help kids in the area, and they were well respected, but she then tried to get 15 mins of fame by insulting the estate on TV.
