It was pretty fucked up to put her on blast when she didn’t even see or interact with the child. She’s obviously an easy target to attack if you feel wronged by the people around her.

I don’t really have things to say, other than everybody seemingly blew themselves up over nothing.
But it also does feel like ever since Chappell made that first statement about wanting to be left alone, literally everybody not named Chappell has overcorrected to the point where we get misunderstandings like this.

I think its bizarre that Jorginho posted about it in the frist place. Any normal parent would just explain to the kid that sometimes people are busy or stressed out and it comes across a rude. Chappell did nothing wrong.

There’s infinite levels of irony for the security guard who panicked because of chappell’s celebrity status, only to mess with the daughter of one of the biggest football player in the country.

But why would that security guard do that on her behalf in the first place? Maybe her management might have spoken to the hotel and laid down her boundaries, which I assume was not to be bothered… and hotel security took it very literally?
All assumptions mind!

So is this post that’s going viral all over Twitter/ex fake?
Could someone post a transcript? The video won’t play for me

like why would she tell her security to go yell at a child? did no one else think that story was wack??

As suspected this happened
Chappell has been vocal about boundaries but she’s also been the sweetest to her kid fans. I couldn’t imagine her doing this to a literal kid. It def seemed more that it came from someone other than her.

This to me seems like ordinary celebrity/fan drama so I’m not invested and really don’t care.
I do, however, love that the world is so small that the child fan in question is Jude Law’s biological daughter.

The story evolves! I love me some low stakes drama! All I gotta say is that although this is a decent explanation, I would just like to see the football player’s kid response. Because how do you confuse being berated by a security guard? Whose security guard would do that? Interestingggggggg

The way that the internet wants her to fail all the time and overly criticizes her for being human feels like similar to the misogyny that the media had in the 2000s. Like why is everyone so vile towards her specifically and jumps down her throat? I could think of a few reasons…..
In my opinion she’s trying her best to navigate fame as an opinionated woman but that doesn’t fit every parasocial freaks idea of her. Shes extremely compassionate and progressive, she speaks up about injustice and uses her platform often. Now a man said one story about her and I feel like every incel wants her dead

Its not her *personal* security but it was her temporary security?

And so once again this was a nothing burger that got blown completely out of proportion. I’m not surprised.

I haven’t really followed this situation closely, but one thing that really struck me is how quickly people were willing to *pounce* on Chappell without any statement from her/her team or anyone else corroborating the story.
There seems to be a significant portion of people that have decided they don’t like her, and are almost gleeful when anything comes out that they feel validates their opinion that she’s a terrible person – whether it’s accurate or not

God, I think a lot of people – *me included* – need to consider why our first thought was “god, she’s an asshole”. There’s still some questions I have, the big one about the security guard not being her’s, but it clears things up a bit.
It’s so goddamn easy to get angry and outraged and inflamed when we only hear half of the story. That’s not a Chappell thing, that’s a modern internet thing.

I remember saying “if this is true” on that other post and people were attacking me for giving her the benefit of the doubt? 😭 Like…this is why we wait to hear both sides of the story.

I just can’t stop thinking about Jude Law right now (the girl is his daughter. The footballer is “step dad”). He must be sitting at home like “What the fuck..?!” All of this over his daughter and he wasn’t even there and had nothing to do with it. lol!! 😂

This was always a nothing burger. If this allegedly happened with any other artists’ security, everyone would assume exactly this (that it was the security’s doing, due to some misunderstanding or a lack of training/communication, not a direct request from the artist to harass a child)
It’s just that Chappell has been vocal about her boundaries that people always assume she is malicious.

Isn’t there any video footage, like cctv recording? If they publish it, all these speculations can be laid to rest.

Would random security do that, though?
