Jorginho, a soccer player, posted a story criticizing Chappell Roan and her team for their treatment of his 11-year old stepdaughter at a hotel in Sao Paulo
worth mentioning she is also Jude Law's daughter as well
The child did absolutly nothing wrong. Chappell seems to be the one in the wrong in all of these situations, but has never gotten used to this level of fame.

If this is true, Chappell Roan really needs to gain some perspective because calling security on a little girl walking past her table is simply too much. You just shouldn’t become a celebrity if young fans recognizing you in public and walking past you triggers you to that extent.

I love Chappell and have two young daughters who adore her music—this would be absolutely devastating for them, to be accused of harassing an artist they love for simply smiling at them. Genuinely can’t even imagine it—also can’t imagine security would get involved unless she had them get involved—absolutely wild.

This is a not a good look for Chappell

If this is true, it’s really bad. I’ve defended her in the past, but this is pure trash behavior. And she doesn’t even have the guts to say something herself if it was a problem, she sends a GUARD after a KID?! For smiling at her?! If she can’t handle kids smiling at her, she can’t even work at McDonald’s, let alone have this career.

And the kid is Jude Law daughter.
Wow, the worst thing you can do is mess with a famous footballer.
I almost feel for Chappell Roan now

Now i’m going to play devils advocate and say, we have only heard one side of the story.
This side makes it sound very OTT. Let’s hope there was a bit more to it.
That poor little girl.

Why does everyone keep ignoring these stories about Chappell??? This is not new. ITS CONSISTENT. She’s a mean girl! She might be singing about the correct pop culture ideals, but IRL she’s been consistently reported as being mean.

She wants to be famous but doesn’t want to deal with fame. Perhaps she ought to consider a different line of work.

She just seems like such a miserable person all the time. She clearly isn’t enjoying her fame, so idk what possesses her to keep chasing it.

Have room service breakfast if you can’t handle a fan smiling at you, JfC.

Wildest crossover of the year this. And the poor girl… I can’t imagine what she felt.
If you want to be famous but don’t want the side effects (good or bad) that comes with it then just do an Enya, it ain’t rocket appliances.

The details here don’t smell 100% right to me. Seems that he wasn’t actually there and is presenting a secondhand viewpoint that we’d be naïve to assume doesn’t potentially bend the truth of the matter at least a tiny bit.
It also seems to me that the insinuation that Chappell Roan personally directed the security reaction is just assumed or invented out of whole cloth and context clues, which I don’t love.
But I wouldn’t be too surprised to hear that the broad strokes are confirmable, and tbh I think there’s loads of room for this to have started differently and the reaction to still be wildly inappropriate.

I’ve defended her in the past because I think that celebrity culture is insane but how much of a fragile Karen do you have to be to sic a security guard on a ten year old girl excited to see you, her favorite singer, in a public space. Like…you sing about your sex life, in detail, in front of crowds of thousands of strangers, but a little girl walking by your table is an unacceptable invasion of your privacy? Why be a celebrity at all if being recognized sets you off so much?

I just saw this on r/soccer and if this is an accurate representation of events then Roan needs to reevaluate if she wants to continue to do festivals or to be famous. If an 11 year old child can’t be excited to see her favourite artist then what are we doing here? Of course there are boundaries but come on…

I don’t know about this. We have a one sided story and then a story posted publicly by someone who wasn’t even there, it seems.

She seems like the most miserable person, where there is smoke there is fire and she has too many similar stories to ignore.

When I see stories like this, my thought is not, “Chapelle is a mean person.” Look… we all have bad days, we all get peevish, we all sometimes just want a fucking break.
I think Chapelle is bad about running her business. You don’t put yourself in situations where this can happen… and if you do… you grit your teeth and bear it (and have a long convo with your team afterwards). Chapelle needs better management. Her day to day should have handled this… that is their job.

Can we just forget about Chappell Roan? It’s obvious she hates any kind of attention and fame. She should just be a cabaret dancer in a run down club in Berlin and call it a day
