that video was absolutely CRAZY and the baby was right there! literally flabbergasted

edit: i just realized i didn’t even see the full video? i was only shown a clip of right beofre and when the chairs were being thrown. hearing the kid cry “mommy” just made me cry. this is all so gross and they REALLY need to take away taylor’s platform she doesnt deserve one

The video is horrifying. Her poor daughter was distraught and Taylor still didn’t care. I hope those kids get the protection they deserve.

I’m glad this happened but she should have never been given the platform in the first place. The video that released occurred during the 1st episode of her Hulu reality show yet she’s still been on the show for multiple seasons and got cast on the Bachelorette. The cynical part of me suspects that had advertisers not walked away (or threatened to), they would have continued hoping the controversy was going to bring in viewers. People have been calling her out as a problematic choice the moment she was announced

  4. Is this the fight that was addressed on the first season of the Mormon wives show or a 2nd one?

Sincerely hope that her older kids are with their dad full time now, and that she gets the help she needs. It’s wild how this has played out. (I don’t watch SLoMW or Bach but this is all mainstream pop culture news now and it is insane.)

ABC may have just killed their own franchise by casting her in the first place.

ABC should’ve never made her the new Bachelorette in the first place. They knew all about her drama yet they went forward with it anyway.

I feel sorry for her kids.

  8. Is this a more recent DV incident? Didn’t she get arrested a few years back, too?

  9. buzzfeed_sucks on

I don’t know if the father of her older children had ever seen the video. But man, I hope now that it’s out, he tries to get full custody of them. That was horrific to watch. Those kids shouldn’t be with her.

Another religious person turns out to be one of the worst people ever? Who’da thoughtt

  11. good. The baby was unphased until they were hit. So, this is normalized behavior to them

  12. Didn’t this happen for they even chose her as the bachelorette? Why did they move forward with her in the first place??

Good. They should’ve never cast her to begin with. She was on video throwing a chair that hit her kid with the last DV charge

  14. Conclusion_Solid on

It seems that both her baby daddies have filed protective orders with Dakota, the one from the DV incidents has filed for sole custody of their son

Taylor is suchhhh a mess. I hope she takes this time and gets actual, serious help for her and her kids’ sake.

    Good.

    The video is horrifying.

It’s embarrassing it took them this long to do so.

I hope her ex and her daughter are okay, this is truly monstrous behavior

i said it in another comment and i’ll say it here: TPTB hinging their dying show on a person with open and known history of domestic violence from some moron wives show and it not paying off is the sliver of justice we need today.

Good. The video footage is horrific and her white, upper class, pretty privilege has taken her more than far enough.

The information has been out since 2023. She should’ve never been given a show in the first place.

I’m sick of seeing her defenders make excuses for her abhorrent behavior.

ok no one jump me but i can’t be the only person with questions here. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is a Hulu show, which is the streaming home of ABC cable shows, which are both owned by Walt Disney. The events depicted in the video (while very concerning) are discussed in the very first season of the show (which aired in 2024). Any person with sense can tell from just a few episodes that Taylor has a lot of trauma to work through and had no business going on a dating show to begin with, much less one where the ideal ending is a proposal. My point is that whoever was in charge of casting and production reasonably had the time and knowledge necessary to address this situation, and chose to go forward with her as the Bachelorette regardless. I feel bad for the people who had their precious time wasted, so it’s hard for me to appreciate any actions or handwringing that ABC chooses to do now.

I’m so confused because wasn’t this public knowledge in 2023 that she spoke about?

They picked her knowing that and anticipating potential backlash. But why they picked her, idk, there are other single reality tv ppl.

  21. they made a good decision even if it’s an insane one. additionally, weren’t there some pregnancy scare rumors about this season..??

  22. lol what a disaster. Have no idea why they thought this was a good idea after her domestic violence arrest a few years ago, wild casting!

Do we think she’ll make another tone deaf statement about having another premiere “ruined” 🙄
