I am already anticipating that him being unable to be president will be one of the great political disappointments of my lifetime

He’s a good guy but.. I expect the actual Irish population in New York is below 1%. Like, properly Irish. Holding an Irish passport Irish.

There is no one else in political public life who is doing this work at this scale so successfully. I feel like it is important to put this video/moment in conversation with what Ryan Coogler said he was doing with Remnick in Sinners. One of the ways we reckon with the project of disentangling the violences of the creation of whiteness and white supremacy is peeling back these exact layers: the constant out grouping between the elite and subjugated working classes across racial and ethnic groups, in order to come ever closer to being able to build the consciousness necessary to build real, true and deep class solidarity.

This is the work, what he is doing, and it is real.
