I’m pretty sure S3 is already a lock right?? As long as this show does well enough to last a few more.

Time to cancel the show because line didn’t go up

Idk if it was just me, but they did a terrible job advertising it on the actual Netflix UI. I opened up the app a few hours after launch and had to search for it. If I didn’t know it was out I don’t think I would have seen it.
It doesn’t help that this season and the material season 4 will likely cover are a lot of people’s least favorite parts. I know I’ve only been doing an episode or two a day.

3 years is way too long. I’m surprised they retained any audience. Releasing during spring break was also an odd choice.

So after watching all the episodes in an afternoon, I gotta wait another 2-3 years for 8 more episodes?

Season 3 numbers will have to increase if Netflix is going to keep renewing this.
I hope they can at least get up to Enies Lobby I feel like that would be a good enough natural end point for the live action.

It should be noted that S1 jumped back into the top 10, which is a good sign.

Most successful live action version of an anime, and it’s not even close.

Sorry guys, it’s been a busy couple of weeks for me

Now they just need to greenlight Season 4 and do a better job with the release date for 3.

Most might not be aware but Netflix strategy for One Piece is not only based on the Live-Action: they hold in most countries the catalog of the anime (with more than 1000 episodes), but they also have a remake of the anime in production, plus the live action.
So, I would say that while there’s a decrease, maybe in the end they have a good strategy put in place.

Insatiable money hungry sociopaths run these major countries so a slight decrease is probably not what Netflix wanted to see here. But after a long layoff between seasons, I can see why the non One Piece fan audience may not have been as aware of season 2.
They already greenlit season 3 and that’s supposed to come out in a more timely manner in around summer 2027 iirc.
