I don’t really see the issue, he didn’t campaign for it, he didn’t attend any other awards shows, he at no point gave any suggestion he gave a shit if he won or lost. It’s entirely up to him if he wants to care about awards, if the academy wants to give it to him anyway then that’s up to them.
