We lost **so** many talented people this last year, legends!

These women were my mothers. Growing up watching them on tv was such a treat. As someone whose own mother was very detached, I always wished I could have a mom like them.

Fuck I forgot Diane Keaton died. So many greats have gone this past year.

Rest in Peace to both.

Both Keaton and O’Hara passing away felt so unexpected, because you kept thinking that they were one of those elders that would live forever (not really, but would’ve at least made it to their 90s)

I loved Diane Keaton until I found out she was a staunch Woody Allen supporter. Everyone should know that. It’s pretty wild to support a guy accused of CSA who married his step daughter he helped raise 🫠

This was an interesting study in how personal celebrity deaths can feel. Keaton hit me really hard, probably as hard as Robin Williams. O’Hara not so much but I haven’t kept up with her like I did Keaton. Because of that it felt like everyone else moved on from Keaton’s passing faster.
But the outpouring of love I continue to see for O’Hara makes me want to catch up on more of her movies. I only know the older stuff like Beetlejuice, Home Alone, and all her SCTV/SNL movie cameos and The Studio.
