While champloo is a more character driven and less whacky show, I am not sure if it will translate well to live action
Much of the humor like the weed episode came from the sudden shift in animation style
Changing the humor will prolly fuck up the show and character dynamics

Why? This seems like another Bebop mistake, a very stylized self-contained story that was told almost perfectly already. There’s no way they top the anime and very unlikely they come close.

No weird powers, no strange costumes, just need to nail the fusion of Samurai and Hip-Hop
