  1. > Episodes of “Saturday Night Live U.K.” will hit Peacock the day after they initially air on the U.K.’s Sky One and Now. The series premieres on March 21, meaning it will be available stateside weekly beginning on March 22.

  2. Can’t think of a more unappealing tv show. “Imagine Saturday Night Live, but even more not funny”

People keep saying this will be less funny than normal SNL but the UK has some of the best comedy writers in the world and literally always has

I will be watching for that paddy young dude, he is so my type visually it’s not even funny

  5. It would be hilarious if this turns out to be good and see the entirety of Reddit having to pretend it’s shit and they hate it 😂😂

I have a feeling this will be less funny, a bit like Whose Line, even though I know that was originally UK.

And I’m not even criticising UK comedy as I love it and grew up there. But in this format i genuinely have a feeling it will be less funny. But we shall see.

Excited to see how this turns out! I think having Tina Fey host the first episode is a good idea, because the host has a lot of say in the US show and I think she’ll be able to pass along a lot of wisdom from her SNL days to the cast and writers.

  8. I think the big question will be is it going to be British comedians replicating SNL humour, or will it have more British comedy sensibilities.

I’m not a fan of SNL and it’s very in your face American style humour, so wasn’t excited by this at all.

But then thinking on it, if this ended up being Night at the Apollo combined with classic Mitchell and Webb style sketches it could be great!

Well let me give you a bit of a reality check. You’re going to find yourself skint, absolutely potless, drinking lukewarm Bovril… IN A CARAVAN DOWN BY THE THAMES

I don’t know about it being unfunny but it could be just a different flavour, they are both casseroles but one is made with different potatoes 😉

Brits have been the king of sketch comedy for a long ass time. I’ll give it a chance.

  12. I hope it’s good, I’ve just never heard that the UK had their own SNL until seeing this post. And I feel like I’m someone who enjoys a lot of UK comedy shows/projects, so to have that as a blind spot is surprising.

Edit: okay it’s a new venture, that makes sense
