Not sure who recorded and posted this particular video, but it’s interesting that they were howling at her but stopped when she started recording them. I guess the point was to agitate her and capture her reaction.
I’m no longer the big fan I was when she first hit the mainstream (I really didn’t appreciate her comments during the last election), but she shouldn’t be treated like this when she asks for space. We saw another video with Justin Bieber being hounded as well. I hope that we’re not slowly creeping back to early aughts era of paparazzi abuse.

Can’t help thinking it would have been better on this occasion to sweep inside than complain in full view for a minute. The only way to remove power from the paparazzi is to give them nothing to feed on.

Not how the paps work, sadly. The more you act up the more money they make with the pics they take. They killed a Princess trying to get a photo. The only thing you can do is ignore them and get on with things. Give them nothing so they can take nothing. Anything outside of that and you feeding them what they want.

We normalized this type harassment. When people push back they are painted as divas or assholes.
Nobody would want 5-10 people shoving cameras in your face, yelling and trying to get your attention, the flash going off. Chappell is messy but allowed her boundaries. She also does cooperate with paparazzi who respect her boundaries. Her job description does not entail being stalked while she’s trying to go about her life outside of performing and events.

I am french, so i can say during fashion week, we act the worse.
So many celebrities told people to leave them alone, and they would keep following and asking for autographs.
Who still ask for autographs ??? These people arent even fans!

It is annoying. And I say that as someone who’s friends with autograph sellers. I will defend at least the ones I’ve hung out with that they go to events with barricades or environments where celebrities have the choice to stop if they want and if they don’t… they don’t. At least from what I’ve seen with them there’s no chasing or harassing the event is either set up to have autograph signing or the option of it and if it isn’t they don’t go.
I get not all are like that though. And most of these events are, no offense, more B list celebrities
