With all the speculation about Firefly revival going on right now, here is a "Tachyon Pulse Podcast" video from May of last year talking about some supposed inside information.
Some of the other stuff he mentions is a "supposed X-Files reboot" and "Malcolm in the Middle" series which we now know are coming.

This is the type of thing where you need to link the video.
The X-Files reboot was announced in 2023, and there had been a lot of talk about the Malcolm in the Middle revival leading up to it being officially announced.

I hope it’s not a continuation of the original series. I feel it would be a soulless cash grab like so many legacy sequels/reboots. Now, if it were a show set IN the Firefly universe, I wouldn’t necessarily mind. It seemed like an interesting setting. I’ve always thought a military drama or an underworld show could be fun in that universe. That way, you could still have the original cast in there on occasion, but still be able to use that world to tell new stories. I also think the only reason Firefly is as popular as it is is due to it having been cancelled. If it had gone on for 5 or 6 seasons, it wouldn’t be remembered as fondly.
