Imagine how unavoidable it would be for these politicians if more people at the stature of Ruffalo spoke up and demanded action.
Can count on two hands the number of high profile people with a platform who are actually using it for good on a daily basis, not just a well-timed post every 4 months. The ones who are not talking are making a decision, their silence is complicity at some level.
I live in his district and we still don’t have fios internet and no plans for it. If I want more than 40mbps upload (I’m a video editor who needs to work with 80GB files) I need to move.
This is what people need to be doing all day, every day, en masse. What is happening is NOT NORMAL! And doing things that normalize this in anyway makes the problem So. Much. Worse. We’re numbing ourselves to the weirdos in charge and acting like decorum will save us. Bring back calling people out on their bullshit! And it should be the Dems/opposition party that do it, so if it takes their constituents bullying them into finally doing it, or outright replacing them all, then fine. Shame every corrupt politician until we have some goddamn order back, *please.*
