I just watched this on Hulu! I didn’t really like the show’s ending, but the cinematography, great episodes, and general atmosphere really kept me intrigued through the whole season. I know for a lot of people the plot had serious holes, but I loved it anyways and I just can’t wait to get more episodes in that world.
There were some episodes like the ship flashback that were genuinely fantastic sci-fi. If they tighten up the writing a little bit, I’m positive it’ll be a fantastic story.

I think I’m much higher on the season than most people here, as I thought it was excellent. Where I do agree is that the final episode drops the ball hard.

Loved some things (set design was amazing, effects, acting)
Hated some things (the music, the writing)
Overall it was interesting week to week to see where it went. I think the actors really did a good job with what they had. But the story is very, very dumb.

Had such high hopes for this show and it started somewhat good, but I don’t understand why the Alien franchise keeps doubling down more and more on synthetics.
It feels like a matter of time before they have a series/movie without any actual xenomorphs in it.
I’d kill for a show that was about all those alien flora/fauna on the research ship and/or the colonial defense marines dealing with them.

While the first season ended awkwardly, I liked the show as a whole and thought it did a lot of really cool things. Glad they are starting season 2, really hope they get more right this time!
