I feel that she is a good cast for the role. The main character has some overlap in qualities with her character in Normal People.

Book was mid, cant really see this being a very compelling movie

She can probably nail the entitledness of the character from the book to be fair

God I hated this book. I know I’m in the distinct minority. But >!the whole plot would’ve fallen apart if Sadie and Sam had one honest conversation with each other at any point. And when Zevin couldn’t find any way to make them continue to just not have an honest convo, she killed off a character in a completely unearned way simply to give Sam and Sadie another thing to not communicate about for the latter half of the book. And because of that, I found both characters insufferable.!<
Also honestly kind of surprised they’re doing as a movie. I think the structure lends itself more to a miniseries.
And lastly, God do I think she’s miscast as a Jewish girl from CA. Like this should’ve been Mikey Madison or Odessa A’Zion. 🤷🏻♀️

I am beyond hyped for this. I read this a couple years ago and it became my favorite I’ve ever read.
Edit: phrasing
