I don’t know how this works, but from what I’ve heard: He has millions of WB stocks that he can “buy” at $11 (it’s locked in at that price and I think that’s what it was worth when he was given them) and “sell” at the $31 mark that WB is being bought for.
Dude has enough of those stocks to make nearly half a billion, so he’s just offloading like 20% of his holdings.
