I really do not buy the “I grew up with domestic abuse, so I would never condone it.” Many abused children go on to perpetuate the cycles of violence; breaking the cycle is the hard option that many of us consciously take every single day. I consider stopping the cycles of abuse rooted in both sides of my family the fight of my life.
Bill Clinton clearly already has fallen into the pattern of abuse by abusing his power over Monica Lewinsky and lying to the American people. That does *not* mean he would absolutely leap to human trafficking and CSA, but it does wholly invalidate his statement that he does not condone abuse. It taints the whole testimony.

I might be willing to buy that he did not – knowingly – sleep with any children. But that’s about it. I don’t think for one second that he didn’t sleep with any of the young women he was introduced to and, as a former president, he didn’t consider the possibility that they were trafficked?
