    I agree with this 100%.

    Suspension of disbelief plus all the myth-making we do in our minds to accept these characters- you’d think we would as fans be able to separate the people from their work, but nope, that suspension seems to persist off-screen for some (many? most?).

    I’ve met a few of my musical heroes and it is hard to put that fandom aside and just treat them like normal people. My attempts to do so mostly result in just not saying much, lol.

    I’ve met quite a few celebrities, my personal favs are always lowkey- I think it’s so much more awkward/exhausting when they’re putting on a “heroic” front. Granted I just treat them like normal people and that seems to be appreciated

    Thiiiis. Watching how all the rich people are reacting (or not) to our current crisis tells me largely, the celebs were have been force fed to adore and follow, would be overall disappointing
