Good. Keep things practical and stay true to the source material. No need to go mucking about with this one.

Yay, there’s certainly no way they will color grade it to oblivion so it all looks phony & then “enhance” these effects with CGI….right? That’s never happened before

Gimmick marketing that lost effectiveness by the end of the 2010’s.

It will all just be covered in digital crap or look shit because they think practical means janky because they have no respect for the practical effects from back in the day. Look at that appalling Baby Yoda puppet.

It almost feels like an active attempt to discredit the reputation of practical effects and steer people to be more and more in favor of digital by misrepresenting it with shit low effort modern ones.

  4. Did they work with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop by any chance? I feel like the last movie / movie franchise to do that was Harry Potter

  5. Let’s fucking go. I for one am excited for another crack at this. Just hesitant because of Netflix really.

  6. I think with the rise of everything ai, we’re going to go back to more things handmade, at least that’s my hope. CGI spectacle will essentially become meaningless.
