  1. This guy is going to be eternally typecast as the entitled pretty boy rich kid bad guy, isn’t he?

  3. Hm…

This might actually be the first casting choice I don’t love for this show.

I haven’t seen Ed Skrein in a lot of things. However, in everything I did see him in, he felt pretty generic and perfectly forgettable.

Baldur isn’t just a punchable face. There’s real drama and tragedy behind the punchable face. I’m not sure Ed Skrein can portray that convincingly. I hope he can prove me wrong, though.

  4. Better than game Baldur. Baldur is supposed to be pretty, not looking like a contestant of Hobo Cage Fights

Edit: Cry and downvote all you want. Game Baldur looks more like Conor McGregor than a deity that is supposed to be beautiful

  5. I don’t really get the point of a tv show for GOW. The game is cinematic enough- more importantly I imagine it’ll be extremely difficult to recreate the tone and universe without being corny.

Last of Us did it but had the advantage of being in a grounded “real” world. I guess we’ll see.

Travis Fimmel was right there 🙁

Actually maybe even better, from the same show

    Gustaf Skarsgård! (Floki)

I dunno, I like Skrein but I’m not feeling Baldur with him really. Baldur is wily and has a lot of depth, he isn’t just a guy who gets his ass kicked.

Would have preferred Jeremy Davies return. He was incredible.

I’ve seen Skrein in a few things, he’s forgettable.

I wonder why they didnt just cast the baldur game actor

He’s a live action actor too, he’s been in quite a few shows

  9. My random story here is walking into my local comic shop and telling my friend who worked there “Hey there was this really hot guy here last night in a white shirt and black pants” and them telling me “you mean Hollywood actor Ed Skrein who was here looking at Deadpool comics? Yes”
