Aww the post from Jake made me tear up, that picture 😭 I grew up with the show and the chemistry between him and the kids was amazing. I always loved his character on Lizzie Mcguire, he was so warm and loving. From the sounds of it Robert was just as warm.

when this series came out, i was very small. my parents were only a few years older than i am now, and terrorizing each other in every way possible. disney channel felt like my only escape a lot of the time. i so desperately wished for the mcguire parents to become mine. i still have the original copy of the movie in my baby box all scratched up. this loss is striking for me as both of my parents and myself suffer from bpd. rip sam mcguire, thanks for being my first and favorite tv dad 🕊️
