His children will be ok financially, much better off than my sisters kids who’s mom died when they were about the same age as his kids are now. Rebecca Gayheart has money. And I am sure he is still getting checks from Grays Anatomy, Euphoria, etc. He seemed like a good guy, not sure he would support this bullshit.

  2. I know I’m gonna get downvoted to hell, but shitting on a fundraising effort for a recently deceased person’s family is…gross? Yeah, maybe they’re rich, but no one is being forced to donate here.

I saw a tweet today that was like “ordinary people who give to wealthy celebrities need a conservatorship”

  4. Celebs sitting on multi-million-dollar property, crying that their kids won’t have money to inherit when they grow up. 🫩 I’m tired man.

i feel like these gofundme pages are smearing their (eric and james v) names. maybe they okayed it pre-death, but if they didn’t – it makes *them* look bad since they’re the public figure. greedy and shitty on anyone’s account whoever approved them.

Whatever happened to late celebrities’ spouses asking for donations to medical research charities…

So we are at the point in the timeline when famous, rich celebrities, are getting bailed out by people who are fans, with far less than they have… got it. The rich get richer and the struggling (and/or dumb) people get poorer. Giving money directly to famous families, who have million dollar homes and investment portfolios is the dumbest thing I think anyone who isn’t rich or wealthy could do. And these “fundraisers” are exploiting their fan base. It’s so icky.

When I look up Eric Danes, it says his networth is 7 million. I would assume most of that goes to his wife and children? That’s more money I’ll ever see in my lifetime. Why are we supporting celebrities when most of us cant support ourselves.

  9. Regular people donating to a celebrity’s GFM is absolute clown shoes behavior I’m sorry

man made at least 7 million in career earning and could be bothered to but monthly low cost life insurance policy? he couldn’t invest? stop giving rich people money

It’s one thing if they did this to donate to ALS, that’s something everyone could support and he’d probably have appreciated

***fyi that go fund me often does this automatically if a goal is near achievement*** that said i do not condone giving hard-earned money to celebrity GFMs

  13. This is such a grift. Why tf are people donating? This isn’t a fundraiser for an ALS charity, it’s literally just “to provide stability” for the family.

According to a Google search, Eric Dane’s net worth was around 7M.

How much more money do they need for “stability”?

  14. As much as I think its gross if the family supports the go fund me, I think you’re absolute idiot if you donate.

  15. Is it a crime to want his daughters and family well taken care of? He definitely would’ve made more than that in his life if he continued acting. I also think he would’ve wanted his family taken care of to the fullest extent. In the long run, 250k isn’t a lot of money to take care of two daughters. That’s 50k across 5 years. He definitely would’ve wanted them taken care of for longer than that.

I know it’s a hot take but how can yall call a fundraiser for a man whose life was taken too early “greedy”

I just don’t understand how they can watch the shit show that happened with JVDB’s GFM and think “Yeah. That’s exactly what I want people to remember about my loved one who suffered horribly until death. This is the kind of drama and grifting that I want attached to his name”.

  17. I don’t understand this. Lots of people die every day. Nobody gives them hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they’re not wealthy celebrities
