The hyenas in The Lion King (1994) are often assumed to be a dull gray color due to them being mostly seen in poor lighting. However, the one time we see them in broad daylight during the stampede shows they are actually a lighter brown color.

No they’re still grey, only the colour filter of the sun makes them look brown
